Description

In keeping with the status of hired help of the time, the Maids' Room is arranged simply, with a period, heirloom 1890's bedroom suite--our only family furniture--and family portraits on the walls. The Lehmann' had both day help and live-in help, two such servants making the Maids' Room home, in the servants' wing of the house. A private bathroom, located in the hall, next to, and dedicated to, the Maids' Room, serves as its private bath.

Lehmann House Terms & Conditions

A reservation is a contract. By giving us your credit card information above, clicking the Terms & Conditions box and submitting your request, whether online or by phone, you agree to all of our policies. In return, we will hold your room(s) for you, for the night(s) requested.

By submitting your reservation, it is understood that the information is correct and you agree to the terms as laid out in this document regarding services, number of days booked and the cancellation policy in force for the days booked. A major credit card is required to secure your stay with us. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. You may pay with check, cash or an alternate credit cards.

New Arrivals and Departures
• Check-in is easy because we will have taken care of registration in advance. When you arrive, you will be warmly welcomed, receive a tour of the bed and breakfast, and be escorted to your room.
• Because we are in a historic district, and the bed and breakfast was originally a single family home, we are not allowed to post a sign out front. There IS a sign on the door, so you will know you are at the right place.
• The inn is closed to new guests for cleaning until 4:00p. You may check-in between 4:00--7:00 pm. If you need to check in later, please let us know so we can make special arrangements. If you need to check in earlier, we do offer priority Check-in as an additional option.
• To prepare your room for the next guests, check out is by 11:00m. We do offer late check-out and you get the details.
• Due to insurance constraints, we regret that we cannot accommodate early drop-off of luggage, unless you reserve Priority Check-in in adance. Or, you're welcome to tuck your luggage around the far side of our covered wrap-around porch.

Parking:
There is on-street parking in front of the inn. We are on a private street and literally own our section of street. There is plenty of parking for all guests, if cars are parked thoughtfully. We can only accommodate one car per room, so if you come in multiple cars, and we have a full house, you may be asked to park around the corner where there is public parking, As I own my part of the street, my neighbors own theirs. To park in front of a neighbor's home is just like parking your car in a neighbor's driveway. My neighbors appreciate your respect of their "driveway".

Forgotten Items:
We are happy to send back any forgotten items left behind at the inn at your request. The cost of returning items is the actual coast of shipping plus a $15 handling and packaging fee, if given written permission to add that to the credit card you have on file. In addition, we ask that you accept or deny insurance of the forgotten item in writing if over $50.

Cancellation

Lehmann House Cancellation Policy
Cancellations or changes to direct reservations may be made by phone or email and must be made by the party who originally booked.

---For single night weekend reservations, the deposit is 100% and is NON-REFUNDABLE.
---For all other reservations, a deposit equal to 50% of your stay will be taken at the time of your booking.
---For groups booking three (3) or more rooms, even if the deposits are individually paid, the 50% deposit(s) will be NON-REFUNDABLE.

General Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations for direct bookings must be made by 4:00p on the 15th day prior to your arrival in order to have your deposit returned, less 20% or $25, whichever is greater. A deposit equal to one night's rent (including tax) or 50% of your reservation (whichever is greater) will become non-refundable on this date.
If your reservation is made within this period, the full amount will be charged upon booking.
This policy also applies to a reduction of nights made after 4:00p, 15 days before your arrival, or a delayed arrival, either of which you will be charged in full.
This cancellation policy also applies to guests planning on using gift certificates from any source.

Holiday and 3-Day Weekends Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made by 4:00p on the 30th day prior to your arrival in order to have your deposit returned, less $25 or up to 20%, whichever is greater. A deposit equal to one night's rent (including tax) or 50% of your reservation (whichever is greater) will become non-refundable on this date.
Cancellations made after 4:00p on the 15th day prior to your arrival requires full payment for all days and rooms reserved. Your balance will be charged to your card on this date.
This also applies to a reduction of nights made after 4:00p, 30 days before your arrival, or a delayed arrival, either of which you will be charged in full.
This cancellation policy also applies to guests planning on using gift certificates from any source. If issued by Lehmann House, unless the original is returned to us, your card will be charged.

Convention & Special Events Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made by 4:00p on the 60th day prior to your arrival in order to have your deposit returned, less $25 or up to 20%, whichever is greater. A deposit equal to one night's rent (including tax) or 50% of your reservation (whichever is greater) will become non-refundable on this date.
Cancellations made after 4:00p on the 30th day prior to your arrival requires full payment for all days and rooms reserved. Your balance will be charged to your card on this date.
This also applies to a reduction of nights made after 4:00p, 60 days before your arrival, or a delayed arrival, either of which you will be charged in full. Vacation insurance is available from several providers online to inexpensively protect you against covered unexpected events.

We are a small inn and cancellations affect us severely. As long as we are open for business, and fully functioning, our policy is firm regardless of the reason for cancellation, interrupted stay or early departure. We cannot be responsible for unused rooms due to late or cancelled airline flights, family emergencies, threat of bad weather, any other travel-related mishaps or for any other change of plans on your part. We also cannot be responsible for any changes which shorten your stay. Vacation insurance is available from several providers online, and through some credit cards, to inexpensively protect you against covered unexpected events.
