Back in my single days, when I had time to read, I subscribed to a number of magazines and checked out scads of cookboos from the library. Somewhere along the line,this recipe was inspired by that "research". Loving to create all things sweet, especially experimenting with chocolate, I made these that Christmas in 1985 as gifts for friends, hostess gifts, co-workers, etc. They were so popular, the following year, a few friends began asking, “You ARE making your truffles again this year, right? Because I’d love some.”
